For those of you who’ve been with me for a while, you’ll remember that back in 1999 I put out a four-song EP entitled “Listen.”  We made 200 copies (by hand) and signed and numbered each one.  They sold out in a couple of months, and since then those songs have been unavailable.

Well, with the advent of the World Wide Wassup, you can now get those long out-of-print tunes for a pittance. They’re $.99 each, or $3.00 for all four.  Just click “Store” at the top of the screen, or click here to get them for yourself.  They’re in mp3 format, with no DRM*, which means you can have them on as many devices as you like, and burn them to CD as many times as you like (the same is true with all my music). Heck, buy ‘em all, burn-em, rip-em, send em to your friends, your grandma, the president, the president-elect…  knock yourself out.  Just don’t ask me for a CD of them, cuz as I promised ten years ago, when those 200 folks bought the original copies, I ain’t makin’ any more.

    Enjoy!

That’s right – it’s the future of music, the Music Genome Project, and you can find Brandon’s album “Becoming Human” along with tons of recommendations for other songs you might like.  Search for a song or a station, pick what you like, and Pandora will help you find other new artists you’ve never heard of.

Learn more, and please give a listen to any of the songs from “Becoming Human” today at Pandora.  The more you listen to Brandon’s music there (and give it a “thumbs up”), the more it will get recommended, and the more people will get to hear it for the first time!

The September 3rd issue of Cincinnati CityBeat has a very nice article by Brian baker on the new CD:

Becoming Human sports the contemplative hopefulness of early Bruce Cockburn
and shimmers with the effortless grace exhibited by [Over the Rhine].”
